Anonymous. Adhesive. Art.

Here's to the brazenly artistic. Those who surreptitiously battle in a war of passion. The aesthetic adherents. The thoroughfare aficionados. Street artists of Chicago.

See the Beauty in Ugly. See the Beauty in Every Day.

This is one of the first things I noticed when I moved to Chicago.

Solve Stickers

I googled “Solve Stickers” after I saw this on Michigan Ave. Brendan “Solve” Scanlon was a street artist who was murdered on the streets of Chicago. His friends and colleagues keep his memory alive by sending out these stickers and having people put them up all over the world.

This is pride in the truest sense. Art in Boystown is different than what you see downtown. It has a different audience. It would seem out of place anywhere else. In its given location it’s commonplace though. It’s still art because it contains the key component, Passion.

Home.

It just goes to show that there is always someone who can relate to your work.
